Market Staff and Volunteers take care of the Market Information Booth – a great place to donate to the Market, pick up flyers and information on up-coming community events, offer feedback, receive a friendly hello, or leave your application for the Market. While you are there you might want to purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win the weekly Market basket filled with all kinds of goodies donated by the Vendors. Proceeds from the raffle go towards the building of Vallarta’s first community garden.
Music:
Music is definitely a part of life in Mexico and particularly in Jalisco the birthplace of Mariachi music. On any given week you can find well established and celebrated performers or new and emerging artists. Whatever the week it will be sure to add pleasure to your visit to the market.
Be sure to support the performers by putting a few dollars in their hat or purchasing their CDs.
Children’s Arts and Craft Area:
Each week we offer a free arts and crafting experiences for our young Market visitors where they can get their faces painted or make fun projects from recycled and eco-friendly materials. All children, their families and caregivers are welcome and donations are always gratefully received.
Education:
The Market would like to host weekly educational work shops on a variety of topics. Visit the Market Information Booth to submit your suggestions or volunteer to lead one.
